About The Author

Jason Oakley has been programming since 1982, starting with BASIC on an old VZ200 computer and dabbling in Z80 Assembly on it, then 6502 Assembly on a Commodore 64.  He’s had some experience with C, Perl, PHP, SQL, Java and touched on a few other, random languages.  He prefers Lua as it’s quick and easy to prototype applications and get results quickly without that tedious worrying about pointers and allocating memory.

Jason lives in Sydney, Australia and has a lovely daughter he loves spending time with. His interests include Ten Pin Bowling, Texas Hold’em Poker and Geocaching.
